This site summarizes the results of my first encounter with generative design and the the programming language Processing.
Because of the almost infinite number of possibilities generative design offers, I was geared to patterns out of nature and science which I abstracted for my wallpapers.

 

So for instance, one could see in some of the images above the project “my own atom” which offers to create a space of atoms in which the viewer can modify the number of electrons and protons just by snapping with ones’s fingers.

 

An other example is the following sketch which shows a composition of DNA strands, the most individual pattern of nature, that adjust themselves to the viewer firstly by streching as a reaction to her or his audio input and secondly by adapting the viewers colors through webcam input to become the viewers personal effigy…
